Tony Kim — Director & Photographer

Tony is a filmmaker and photographer working between fashion editorial and narrative film. Through TurnKey Pictures, the production company he co-founded, he is in pre-production on two features he wrote and will direct: a supernatural thriller, and a historical biopic.

His latest film, JewCE: The Jewish Comics Experience — about the Jewish artists who built American comics — won Best Documentary at the DeRose-Hinkhouse Awards and has screened at San Diego Comic-Con and the Metropolitan Opera.

Tony's photography has appeared in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and W; his subjects include Elisabeth Moss, Amy Adams, and Richard Madden. He came to photography from science — a Brown undergrad — and the discipline still shows up on both sides of the work: the way he reads light and form, and the technical control behind the image.
